6 mo Black Lab puppy whining in morning

We have had out puppy for 3 months and he is now a little over 6 months old.  The entire time we have had him he has slept in a crate.  At first it took him some time to get used to it but after a while he was fine.  As long as we got him up at the same time every day he would sleep through the night for about 8 hours.  We moved about a month ago and ever since we moved he has cried every single morning anywhere from 45 to 15 minutes before the set up time we get him up.  Is there anything we can do to stop this?  We have tried scolding him and other things.  Please help!!!!

This is a tough one.  You might try disturbing his evening naps.  Make him play fetch or something.  Also when he makes his last trip outside for the night, make he move around to stimulate his body to eliminate.  I don't feel near as confident about this as many answers.  Try it and see how he does.
