my jc poops alot

i just got this 8 weeks old jack russell today and he dint eat anything the whole
day but had pooped 3 times today.. is this normal?

He is probably pooping what he ate YESTERDAY.
Get used to it, puppies poop and pee ALL DAY LONG
until they are big enough to "hold it" and until you let them out.
Their stomach's, intestines, bladders and bowels are TINY and get filled quickly, which means they have to pee/poop a lot when they are so little. Yes it's very normal. (Unless it's diarrhea, then something is upsetting his gastro intestinal system - has he been dewormed?)
Take him out every hour to teach him to pee/poop outside. Praise him when he pees/poops outside with a little treat. Don't punish him when he makes a mistake in the house. He's only a baby and will have no idea what you are yelling at him for. It's better to teach with POSITIVE reinforcement. Be patient and kind, it's going to take at least 6 months for him to learn to go outside. HE'S A BABY.
