Fish oil

Someone recommended giving capsules of fish oil to our dog, saying that they
stop the dog from shedding. Is that true? We have a 10 week old Jack and he
sheds a little, but I am sure he will shed more as he gets older.

Thats a new one on me Carrie! Commercial dog foods provide all the fish oil and omega 3's a dog needs so I wouldn't recommend giving any extra. It will probably make the dog have fishy breath and runny poops!! NOTHING stops a dog from shedding - they either shed a little or they shed a lot. I suggest occasional brushing outside to keep the shedding in the house to a minimum. It's just something that you have to learn to live with being a proud owner of a Jack! :)
