Traveling with puppy

I AM STATIONED IN HEIDELBERG GERMANY WITH THE US ARMY AND WANT TO BRING AN 8 WEEK OLD PUPPY HERE FROM THE STATES, I WANTED TO CHECK THE AGE REQUIREMENTS AND WHAT I NEED.

This could be a challenge.  First, figure out if the Army or local bureaucrats control bringing in a dog.  Do you live on base?  You could run into inappropriate rules like must have a rabies vaccination.  Once you get over that hurdle, how are you traveling?  Army or commercial, or is the puppy being shipped?  The civilian airlines have a good pipeline to foreign requirements and are careful not to get stuck with a dog they can't unload.

The flight will be an ordeal for the puppy, but it should recover and bring joy to your life.
