Answer
Hi All - I have a friend with a dog like this.... OH, Boy - I know what you are going thru.  You child "golden kid" has seperaton anxiety.  What has worked for my friend is some good supplements to help calm him down...( our problem child in a big Black lab)

Here is what I suggest for you guys....Worth a try and low cost:

STRESS J - by Natures Sunshine:

Just 15 drops in a bowl of water 1 hr before you leave the house:
YOU can give 15 drops in food if you would like - just mix well...
Low cost - Do this every work morning.
YOU can repeat this after your lunch visit, too.... ( safe and natural) - A calming agent but no drugs!

Garlic Oil - Just 1 per day / keeps fleas and ticks away - very good for the system and is a Natural Antibiotic....
Optional - but worth it...

NuVET Plus program -

***NuVET vitamins help all the body systems to stay in balance...
Also, keeps the legs, hips and joints free from injuries...

Most doggies are on 1 wafer per day ( long term) and it costs about .60 cents per day.  If you go on autoship you get 15% OFF
Here is the ordering link for NuVET -
I would like to see you get a 90 count and go on auto ship -
If you go onto autoship you will get 15% off each order.

Keep in touch and let me know how the supplements help - You should see results in less than a few weeks... Supplements need to build up a blood level slowly - so - don't be upset if after 4 days you are not seeing any major changes...
Supplements are natural and VERY safe : that is why they take a little time.
Also, make sure you get a KONG and put some cream cheese in it.
Put in the freezer and give it to her when you leave:
YOU can also put a little peanut butter in a Kong and freeze it.
When you freeze it the KONG treat will last much longer than the NON frozen...IT takes her more work on the frozen substances.

BEST wishes....

Unfortunately, most veterinary schools provide inadequate education on basic canine and feline nutrition.
Nutrition may occupy as little as a one week long seminar in their many years of education to become veterinarians.
For answers to nutrition they look to pet food manufacturers, which readily supply them with specialty, preventative diets for all life stages and ailments. Such an example is the Science Diet / Hill's Brand.

My Name is Marie Peppers and I want to help you learn what is good for your pets. I offer a Free Q and A site for Alternatives in Pet Medications and Treatments. Also, I am glad to guide you in proper feeding and healthy diets. I have a vast knowledge in supplements and vitamins, too.

Please join us - I am ready to answer you questions in regards to pet health and medications. Here we will talk about the choices your VET doesn't want you to know about.
