Answer
Hello, Maya,

I'm sorry, but as I state on my profile, I do not have any medical background.

That being said, there are several things I can suggest that you consider:

1.  Take her to a different vet; get a 2nd medical opinion.  If I had a condition and my own physician said he could not help, I would go to a second, third, etc if necessary to find someone who could help me.

2.  Give her back to her breeder.  A good reputable breeder will take back any animals they have bred; they brought the life into the world, and they are responsible for it.  For one thing, "temperament" is a breeding issue.  Golden Retrievers with bad temperaments are not a good example of the breed; the breeder needs to be aware of this and discontinue breeding from that sire and dam.

3.  When you say there is a continuous discharge, does this discharge literally drip from her?  Or, is there a puddle when she gets up from laying?  Have you had the vet test this liquid?  Is it urine?  Could she have a urinary tract infection, the same way people can get them?  It is very easy to test for that by taking a urine specimen to the vet.

Any change of temperament, that is, the dog acting differently than it has, could be changed by illness or not feeling well.  After all, when YOU are sick or not feeling well, doesn't that make you a little less pleasant than normally?

I'm sorry I can't give you more help than that.  But, as I said above, if MY vet told me they couldn't help, I would definitely find another vet.
