excited peer

we just pur. a 5 month old male who when you first great him he likes to pee a little then after a few minutes hes fine its like when hes excited he does it / or to every new greater/ will he grow out of this/ hes going to obidence school next month / any info. would be apreciated thank you george.  p.s he has not been nutered yet we were told by the breader to try to wait till hes a year old  please help

Hi George,  first don't wait until a year to neuter him as he will have picked up the habit of marking and you will have a heck of a time breaking the habit by then.  You will want to neuter him at 6 months of age.  Yes he will outgrow the submissive urinating, it is very common in puppies.  When anyone sees him, they need to not make a big deal about him, just go about your business and pet him, but do not get him anymore excited than possible.  That way you are teaching him control.  Hope this helps,
