Puppy Question

I have a 3 month male GS.  He is very smart & a joy to be around.  His training is going well. He is healthy, get lots of attention, is around other animals, gets play time, exercise time, etc.

He eat or tries to eat rocks all the time.  He does drop them when I tell him to, however he has eaten & passed several small one.  Any idea what this is about?

Hi Bachj, They say rock eating is due to some lack of minerals in the dog's diet, I think a lot of it is boredom and just chewing on them like rawhides.  Of course, it is dangerous, so you want to discourage it as best as you can.  Hope this helps,
