Question
Hey,

I recently bought a GSD puppy, and I want him to grow up and be a good protector.  He stays inside, and is spoiled rotten.  I was wondering if having him neutered would make him less protective?  Does that affect anything like that or not?  I want him to protect me, and if getting him neutered will make him less protective then I don't want to neuter him.  Pleas let me know.

thanks Chelsea

Answer
Do Not Spoil your dog Rotten.  Neutering your dog will not make him less protective.  If you want your dog to protect you  please consider taking him to training classes.  There are many good books that teach you how to raise a dog properly and to train them appropriately.  I highly recommend this to you.

You can check out my bookstore at http://www.gallantshepherds.com  Please be an educated dog owner.  Spoiling your dog will cause more problems than it will solve.
