my shepards bloodline

Question
i have bought a german shepard from a breeder he is a very confident dog.
he is 17 months old i got him when he was six weeks old. i'm looking into his
bloodline and i notice his fathers bloodline has a lot of vom haus kuhn in his
blood line does this mean his father could be inbreed their is none in the
dam's side. the breeder had told me the male was imported from germany?
he is very protective of my two daughters when anyone is around is this
normal?

I don't get into bloodlines too much.  Do you mean the same dog keeps reappearing in the pedigree?  I don't think that is good.   Just dogs from the same kennel may be OK.  

Most dogs are protective of all the family, but perhaps the herding breeds more so.  If he is protecting your children, it is a good sign he is accepting you as leader.
