Female in heat and diarrhea

Question
I have a 9 month old female GSD and she has been in heat for the last 2 weeks.  Over the last week she has developed diarrhea.  Is this because she's in heat or is there another issue and we need to get her to the vet.

I wouldn't think it would be related to her being in heat. While anything's possible. I'd look more toward a change in food water, something she ate, or needing to be dewormed. Let's stay away from even mentioning more serious possiblities. Take her in for a check up just to be safe
