Question
I own a German Shepard dog name is Sparky and its ears are not upright. Its only falling and its about 4 months old male.My question is how to confirm its a real German Shepard.

Answer
There is hardly any way to do that.  To be sure, you would have to get samples from both parents and have the DNA tested.  It can only prove 2 certain dogs were his parents, not what breed he is.

Sometimes a real Shepherd's ears aren't up by that time.  Usually they come up by the time they are a year old.  I don't know that there is anything that works to help ears.  Hips?  Switching to an adult chow for the larger breeds at 4 months, slows growth and helps develop sturdier joints.

Your dog definitely should be narrower at the waist than the hips and chest. You should be able to easily feel the ribs, but not see them. Each dog is different. Standard recommendations are a good place to start, but each dog must have its food and exercise adjusted to its individual needs. Here is a link to a good illustrated guide, http://www.longliveyourdog.com/twoplus/RateYourDog.aspx  Shepherds often are more of a problem not eating enough than too much.  Usually if the ribs show only a little, you should leave well enough alone.
