My Pom is spitting up flem

Question
I have had the wonderful joy of being the mommy for two tea cup poms.  My first little one was quite sick from the time I got him.  Three seperate times I had to give him mouth to snout, his breathing was very bad.  I noticed he would spit up a white flem along with his many other problems.  I lost him last summer.  I finely decided to get a new baby who is much healther, and his breathing is great.  However, he just turned a year old and I have noticed twice now he has spit up globs of white flem. Is this something that poms do?  It scares me tea cup poms are so tiny and there airways are not very big and this distresses him.  Is there anything I can do.  Any thing you can tell me about their digestive system or anything thing I should feed or not feed him would be great.

sincerely

Bonnie

Answer
There is no such thing as a tea cup Pom. :) There is only 1 standard-3 to 7 lbs.

If you have a very small Pom, under the standard weight then you can make sure you have HIGH quality food available all the time and maybe even give extra treats like cheese, boiled chicken... things to keep blood sugar up.
I would go to the vet about what you see, your pup could have a parasite bothering him which would make his tummy not have room for food.

Bland is good for dogs-they don't need all the flavors added, like people.  No salt, no onion-garlic is ok.
Your vet can give you a lot of suggestions about that kind of thing too.  Your breeder you bought the pup from should have some info for you too. :)

Best of luck
