Question
Hello.. I have 2 male cockers Hershey is 6yo and scrappy will be 3 Oct 30th. I had  both boy neutered aprox 2 months ago outcome no prob. Now the 6 yo teases scrappy at the food bowel, he wont let him near it or lays in front blocking it from scrappy. when the Hershey walks away scrappy will run to it and Hershey takes off after him. I know he thinks its funny because his tail is waggles and he will just stands there while scrappy grabs a bite and leaves with it to another area and eats it. Sometimes Scrappy will act like he going to the bowel Hershey takes off after scrappy then  Scrappy comes to a dead stops turns around and runs back to where he was, he may do this 2,3,4 times. So far no fights some minor growl but tails are going. What do I do to stop this teasing of Hershey or do I do anything. NOTE Hershey is a rescue dog but we had Hershey about 1 year before we got scrappy at 6 wks old. We also have a female(fixed) 2 yrs both watch out for their little sister but scrappy seems to think he in charge of everything. All 3 of my kids are spoiled rotten. let me know what you think. Lorie

Answer
Your dogs need to be fed separately.  At least the two males do.

I hope you're not free-feeding and using only kibble?  Not good on all kinds of levels.

I'd solve this problem before it progresses.  Hershey is definitely being dominant which "can" turn to aggression.

Dogs, just like us, need peace & quiet at mealtime.

I'd also suggest a good premium canned food and using very little kibble.  Feed them twice a day and separate them.

Foods I like for cockers:
Canidae (go to Canidae.com to find a store)
AvoDerm (PetSmart)
Innova EVO
Merrick
Solid Gold
Newman's Organics
Eagle Pack Holistic

Any store that carries Canidae will carry other premium foods.
