my beautiful dog
We just bought a 7 month old springer who was supposedly toilet trained i take her out for over 1 hour at a time within 10 mins of getting back she poos and pees on the floor she doesnt do it outside HELP

Answer
You say "just bought"...how long ago?  If this is very recent you need to understand that it takes a few weeks for a dog this age to settle down.

So take a deep breath and realize you're going to have to back up to Square One.  If you get all over this it shouldn't take more than a week.

Every two hours, put her leash on and TAKE her (don't put her out)to your backyard.  Watch her and when you see she's about to go - give your command (go potty - or whatever you choose).
When she goes - over the top praise and a reward.  If she doesn't go in about 10 minutes, bring her in and take her out again in half an hour.  (Yes, it's boring :)

Walking for an hour is super and I wish more owners did it - but on a walk she's distracted
so you can't count on that.  Not that you don't do the above routine IF she does go on a walk!
So watch her carefully.  Anticipation is key in training.

But the walk is the walk and training is a separate issue.

When you take her out..always use the same words "Wanna go OUT?" in a happy voice.  Then just stroll around the yard with her ON LEASH..this isn't play time!  You can issue the command every so often but the key is to anticipate and give the command as she's starting to go.  Praise her as if she split the atom and always reward.

The other thing to keep in mind is to see if she's urinating too much..or really doesn't seem to have a lot of control.  This could mean a simple UTI (urinary tract infection) which can be cleared up with a round of antibiotics.  A lot of dogs in kennels/rescues get this plus it's very common in pups this age.  It wouldn't hurt to get a urine sample in to your vet if you even suspect she may have one.  Catch it from behind in a sterile container and either get it right in or refrigerate it until you do.  First morning is best.

She is a beauty and I have her two male twins :)

My latest was a Rescue at age 3 and I had to go through the above but I made it a top priority and within a week the problem was pretty much solved.  It's amazing how quickly they connect the command-action-reward/praise.

Best of luck and do write with any other questions.
