Hairy Tongue

Question
Hi my 3 year old cocker just had her teeth clean by our vet and when they were
cleaning noticed that she has hair growing on her tongue.   The vet said it was
her first case of it and didn't no anything about it.  So my question is, is this an
underlying problem or just my dog has a hairy tongue.  OK thanks

Answer
Gosh, Vivian, I'm with your vet here.  I've never heard of this 'nor could I find any information in a search.
But since your pup undoubtedly had a Wellness check pre dental work and is happy & healthy, I don't think I'd worry about it.
Also - hopefully you'll start brushing her teeth at least 3x weekly (daily is better) and avoid the vet expense and the anesthetic.  Be sure and use "dog toothpaste".
