Growth on my 9 month old Cocker

Question
Hi, I am concerned because I just noticed today that my 9 month old female cocker has some kind of growth or inflamationin her private area.  It kind of looks like a dog hemmoroid, or a ball hanging.  I'm concerned because she started running like a rabbit with her hind legs together as if though she is feeling uncomfort.  She seems fine as far as her appearance and appetite.  What should I do?  Is this a sign of her first heat?

Answer
You need to get your vet to look at this NOW.

She needs to get spayed and if she does go into heat do NOT ever allow her outdoors unsupervised.  Male dogs will come from miles around - jump fences or do whatever it takes.

So please do get her into your vet asap.
Best of luck,
Delores
