Question
I just got this puppy and not sure what food is best, im hearing many different things, I found one called royal canine, is this a good one? his stools are very runny and didnt know if there was something I could give him to help with that.

Answer
The breeder should have either given you some of the food he is used to or at least told you what he was eating. It's not good to change puppies from one food to another unless it's absolutely necessary.

First of all, I would have a stool sample checked to be sure he doesn't have any parasites or some type of intestinal virus. Then I would put him on something simple, like Purina puppy chow, not the large breed formula, just the regular one. Keep him on it for a couple of months and then if you don't feel he's doing well, consider changing him over at that time, but do it gradually, over a weeks time at least by adding a small amount of new food each day.

And yes, Royal Canine is good, but a bit rich for puppies.
