Question
My boxer has given birth to 9 puppies out of that 5 are white and 3 are fawn and one is brindle. My question is both the sire and the dam are brindle and fawn with white markings,  then how I get white...Is there any relation between health of the dam during mating and white puppies. How to control the number of white puppies...My puppies are very active but the guy who gave me the boxer says the puppies are underweight... IS there any standard for weight of boxer pups at birth? Please answer my questions.

Answer
First, the normal weight of a newborn Boxer is average: 1lb.

They should double their birth weight in roughly 9 days. Then, by 2 weeks, quad weight.

Make sure the dam is nursing regular, and buy Canine Replacement Milk (in a can and powder to be mixed with water) and mix accordingly, and feed with a PET NURSING BOTTLE.

Offer this to the puppies often, but do not let them bloat or over drink.

Two fawns produce fawn puppies. It is the only way to get fawn pups.

Brindle can produce fawn pups and white pups.

Brindle has the "fawn and white" markings to make it brindle.

White pups are actually fawn pups without hair pigmentation: thus white. They ARE NOT albino. Thus the (now blue) brown eyes. A lot of white Boxers can have a fawn circle around one eye.

White Boxers are as healthy and normal as any Brindle and Fawn, and have no ill effect as any other pup. They simple are without pigment and it is genetic. Somewhere is the gene pool, dam side, or sire side, is the lack of pigment gene. You won't know if it is your dam until she has another litter someday, or you get her history of parents and grandparents. Same goes of the sire.

If your dam is NOT attending to pups: feeding regular, especially when crying and upon awakening (being newborns), licking and cleaning them, licking genitals to stimulate peeing and pooping, protecting them from others by putting arm or paw over them and growling and being aggressive toward others, keeping the sire away, etc. THEN YOU MUST TAKE OVER AND ASSIST.

Google "how to care for Boxer puppies" and save the selected sites you like in your favorites to refer to. Google "Boxer puppy weight   Boxer  puppy newborn weight" ... there is a lot of Boxer breeder web sites with good information. You need to be knowledgeable.

When you can, (when dam will let you) take her and pups to a vet to be checked. You need to be positive she is okay (no unborn pups) and he will probably put her on vitamins, etc.

I feed mine Pediolyte (children's Electrolyte), canine replacement milk, and puppy chow added to her normal food, vitamin supplements, and once or twice a day when she appears tired and worn out, a Glucose Booster. You can get a little bottle of a liquid (and flavored) glucose booster and add to her water. She will love it. This keeps her blood sugars normal while nursing, as well as the Electrolyte keeps the electrolytes up and normal, and puppy chow (good quality puppy food) added to her normal food gives her energy and protein that she needs now.
