Just bought her and I need to know if I can just feed a good dog food? And is the raw diet a must???

The raw diet is not a must; many feel it is the best way to feed a dog, but it does take some dedication and knowledge from the owner.  There are a number of kibbles that are of decent quality and much easier for the owner to manage.  (It is recommended that you rotate among 3-4 kibbles, to provide a variety of nutrients.)  There's a good site for evaluating dog foods at www.dogfoodanalysis.com - it rates the foods and gives reasons for the ratings.  At her age, a grain-free formula might be something to consider - dogs in general don't do as well with grains, they have no biological need for them and lack the enzymes required to digest them, and often the result is itching and goopy eyes and ears.
