Question
I have an almost three year old female boxer.  She got sick back in early June and her stomach hasn't been the same since. I feel like the food that she has always eaten (pedigree) is now upsetting her stomach. She is no longer vomiting but her poop is still very soft to diarhea. If I mix her food with white rice it seems to help but very little. My question for you is what is a quality brand of dog food that I could switch her to?? I've heard mixed things....

Thank you for your help :)

Answer
First, add a large jar of baby food sweet potatoes. Sweet potato is a natural hardener for her.

Find an all-natural, herbalist dog food for sensitive stomachs- no corn, no corn meal, mo glutens  and additives.

I like Dick Van Patten's Natural Balance. You can Google that and find the web site.

Thje link to dealers is in the upper right-hand side. PetCo might carry it. They make a sensitive stomach formula as well as manyu others.

You can also add whole, plain yogurt (no flavors) to her food once or twice a day for health and bettr digestion. OIr, as a cool treat by itself.

Get some unflavored Pedioltye (a generic brand is okay- but no flavors) and give it to her twice or three times a day and mix in with her water every day to stop any dehydration.

I recommend having your vet check her poop sample for intestinal parasites or any other possible problem, right away.
