Question
My boxer Rosebud is 3 months old and I don't how to stop her from nipping at my capri pants. Whenever I am walking she runs and bites my pant leg, it drives me crazy.I've tried ignoring her and to not give her attention but she continues. What can I do to teach her to stop? I am a stay at home mom and I am committed to raising this puppy to have manners.

Answer
Hi Gina,

You're already doing the exact right thing!!  :)  She's only 3 months old...you've got another month or two before it kicks in, don't worry.  If she nips your pants, stop walking, keep your back turned, don't look at her and don't speak other than a 'no bite' (once).  When she stops biting, you can move.  If she starts again, you stop.  It's just a game to her is all.

If you'd like, you can try replacing her biting with a kong toy stuffed with peanut butter or bananas.  Don't give it to her AS she's biting, but when she stops and 'good girl'.

I know it's frustrating but you're on the right road...don't give up!
