what dog mix well with boxers????

Heyy my name is Ruth

i have a one and half year old boxer, whoo is mad as anything like any normal boxer. he seams abit lonely at the moment and i was wondering if he needs another dog to keep him company. and what dog would mix well with him. But dont want a realyy hyper dog..

Hi Ruth,

Boxers get along well many other breeds - there really aren't any "bad" combinations.  It's far better to evaluate the personalities of the individual dogs, and be sure they're a good fit.

I would say that Boxers tend to get along best with other Boxers, simply because most other breeds don't play the same way Boxers do.  However, I've known Boxers to live happily with small breeds, large breeds, short-haired breeds, fluffy breeds - if both dogs are well-socialized and of compatible temperament, the limitations are really down to owner preference.
