AGGRESSION?

I HAVE 4 CATS, ONE FEMALE AND 3 MALES,ALL BETWEEN 9 AND 13 MONTHS OLD. THE FEMALE GAVE BIRTH LAST NIGHT AND NOW TWO OF THE CATS WILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HER. THE SIRE IS HIDING FROM HER COMPLETELY AND THE OTHER IS HISSING,GROWLING AND RUNNING AWAY EVEN WHEN SHE IS ACROSS THE ROOM OR PASSING BY. HE HAS EVEN HISSED AND GROWLED AT ME TODAY, WHICH IS COMPLETELY OUT OF HIS NATURE. WHAT IS WRONG? THANK YOU

When females are in late pregnancy they get cranky and she may have been mean to the males at that time, has the female ever scratched the males for going to close to the kittens? I have heard of male cats killing there kittens and other males killing there kittens so I'd keep an eye out but I have never had a problem with my male cat bothering his kittens.
