Cats and Dogs getting along....

We just purchased a doberman and the second she walked in the door, my two cats went nuts.  She had cats around her previous owners.I know that it can take a few days, but I dont think the cats are going to be nice and it doesnt help that the dog barks and thinks it's a game to chase them.  Any advise on how to get them to live in peace together?  Thanks.

well you can start by getting on to the dog everytime it barks and chases the cats. when the cats feel like the dog isnt going to eat them they will get used to the dog being around. We have seven cats and four dogs and after getting on to the rottreiler enough he doesnt even looks at the cats so the cats feel safe and will come out and act normal.
