is my home too small?

Question
hi there,
I have two cats and plus one, who often comes in to eat and sleep but is otherwise a stray. my apartment is very, very small. about 500 square ft. my male cat goes outside to roam only in the morning and comes home exactly after an hour. we believe that he roams the small mountain in front of our house. my female cat however, just roams the apartment by jumping from window to window and paying my neighbours hourly visits. my question is, is my house too small for the cats? I mean that in terms of physical activity. they are really happy and playful, but i just wonder whether they require more space.
thanks a lot.

Answer
Hey !

If your cats are doing fine and don't seem to show any signs of claustrophobic behavior then you have nothing to worry about. As long as you're cats can move around freely and have enough room to run and play around inside without bumping into stuff alot then you should have enough space. Another piece of advice would be to keep the stray away. I'm sorry but I had to learn the hard way, one of my cats have just now been picked up by Animal control because my cat was bitten on the foot and he displayed abnormal behavior so they're going to keep him for ten days to study him to make sure he's okay. I suggest you keep the stray away. I know its hard to do but strays bring many parasites into the house and many other diseases that they contract from other places. To protect your cats and yourself I advise you to get rid of the stray. Hope I helped.
