can a 4 month old kitten get pragnent if she isnt in heat

i have a 4 month old kitten who is always going to the door and crying and wants out how do i know if she is in heat and can she get pregnant if she isn't because she always gets out when i let my puppy out.

The easy answer is that, no, a female cannot get pregnant if she is not in heat.  BUT, sometimes females can season quietly and you do not know they are in heat.  Normally, females in season cry and posture and either get very affectionate or very hissy.  But, oft times individual females do it differently and come in season unbeknownst to their owners, but not to the males. They know.

The easiest solution is to get her spayed!  At 4 months, it is not too early to have her spayed.
