choking

hi...
if a cat is choking on food or something what are you suppose to do?

Try to get it out without getting bitten.  If he is choking and you cannot clear his airway, then take him to the vet ASAP.  If he is choking on a piece of string that he swallowed, I wouldn't pull it out as you risk damaging him internally.  I suggest taking him to your vet if that is the case as well.
