My stinky cat

My cat every once in a while will have a stinky secretion come out of her rear end. What is this? Why does this happen? How can we get it to stop?

She needs her anal glands expressed. You need to take her to your veterinarian to show you how you can do it.  With some cats, those anal glands seem to get clogged and they need to be cleared.  This is done by squeezing the stuff out of them.  Your vet may be able to explain why it happens.  Once you know how to do it, if it should happen again, then you can fix the problem yourself.
