DSH, DMH, DLH

Question
Hello Norman,
I understand the domestic or regular housecats (non-purebred) are classified according to the length of their hair. But what is the difference between a DSH, DMH and DLH (besides the obvious, of course)?
Thanks!

Answer
Vicky,

Besides the obvious, the hair length, there are also a myriad of coat colors and patterns in all hair lengths.  There are also a number of major body styles on all hair lengths.

In addition, cats have a number of different kinds of coats (undercoat, awn coat, guard hairs), so any of the hairlengths may or may not have some or all of these different types of coats.

I hope this helps.

Best regards... Norm.
