Cat Behaviour Post-Surgery

My 1-year-old kitten was spayed 8 days ago, and has since been Overly vocal.  
She follows me around, meowing and climbing on things...it's more annoying
than any heat cycle.  Will this end or is this her new personality?

After about 10 days to 2 weeks, any effects from the surgery should be worn off.  This may be her true personality, now that she no longer has to fight her hormones.

Her being social and affectionate sounds like a real plus, to me.
