Question
Hi, my cat is 9 months old and i think she is pregnant cos i can feel and see her tummy and few weeks ago she was in heat!i was just wondering can beeing so young can affect her mothering instincts to kittens as i heard that this age is too young.
And i have another female cat in house, how that will affect her?
Thanks, Zane

Answer
Hi Zane, if she is just getting pregnant at nine months then she will be 11 months when she delivers so that is not too young to have kittens. Of course nothing is a guarantee and every cat is different so  you need to be prepared in case she doesn't take care of them or if she needs a c-section etc. You always have to be prepared for the worst and then if it doesn't happen you can take a sigh and spend the extra money on something fun!  The same answer goes for your other cat. She may or may not get along with the new mom. Some moms are very aggressive and will attack other cats, others will let them help with the raising of the kittens.
