I think shes jealous what do I do?

Question
I have a new blue point Siamese kitten 4 1/2 months.  We had to get her 8 hours away, so I bonded with her over a couple days. My resident cat is a Siamese 13 yrs. old.  He is fine with her sometimes, but she insistently attacks him, sometimes viciously.  He hisses and growls at her when she does this but it has no affect on her she does it again & again.  If I show him any attention it gets worse.  Help!  I don't want to ignore my long time companion cat.  I've tried to give her time outs, squirt her with water. She doesn't get it.  What should I do?

Answer
Jennifer,

Just leave them be.  It sounds to me as if they are playing.  You cannot believe how roughly cats play with each other.  Given their very, very tough skin, it is highly unlikely either will really hurt the other.

Any human interference, separation, squirt bottles, negative discipline is all counter productive and tends to make things worse.

So, I would leave them alone and ignore the noise.

Best regards... Norm.
