blood spotting

female 17 yr old cat who has never been sick.  started spotting blood, not severe, but leaves occassionaly where she sits.  still eating and drinking water.  normal bowel and urinary.  started acutely.

Congratulations on providing such good care, your kitty has lived to 17 years of age, so far!!!!!

Is she spayed?  If not, I wonder if she may be having an open pyometria.

If she is spayed, you might want to have her checked for intestinal parasites.

At age 17. she is considered geriatric and it is possible she is beginning to develop diseases to do with age.

I would have her into your vet to see what may be going on.
