Congratulations on your new kitty addition!  There are a variety of things you can do to help keep your cat happy and healthy.  Keep his litter box cleaned daily, fresh water available at all times, and chose  a diet that is a premium brand.  Be sure and make a trip to the vet in the first couple days to have a checkup for your kitten.  The vet can then recommend what shots the kitten will need according to the age.  There are many sites and books available with a wealth of information about everything to do with cats.  Just do a google search for 'cat or kitten care', and that should lead you to a variety of sites you will find useful and informative.
