How does one change an indoor cat to an outdoor cat.....

There is nothing much to do but let the cat go out of doors.  I do not know how it is in India, but the average life of an outdoor cat in most areas of the USA is 3-5 years, whereas the indoor cat tends to live until 12-15 years.  In the USA the biggest problems are automobiles, predators, and humans.

I am assuming the cat will still come back to your house for food? Do not be surprised if the cat ceases to come back to your house once it is out of doors. Sometimes they just do not have great survival skills. Sometimes they are taken in by other families.  Sometimes they work themselves into a feral colony and lose touch with the household.  Sometimes they are always happy to return to their household periodically.

Cats seem to adapt to whatever venue you give them.
