QuestionShe had her kittens lastnight. She had 4., I have a question. I am worried about one thing. When i go near the box she growls, i know she is protecting them, but will she eat her kittens? i aint touching them, and i dont get to close. i let her come to me.
AnswerLeave her and the kittens alone for at least two weeks, unless there is a problem with them. Just look and not too often. Once a day is enough. Mama will only eat her kittens if she is afraid that someone will hurt them.
Make sure that she has plenty of good food, wet and dry as well as an abundance of fresh water. Keep her area clean and then ignore her and the babies until they are older. She needs peace and a dim light.
Just interfere if you see something very wrong.
