i have an old dog 14yrs laso& schitzu mix she has colitis & she having a real hard time my vet is not giving any medicine for this only special food is there no medicine for this disease?

yes, there IS medication.

1. get a second professional opinion. it sucks when a vet wont give something to help cool the intestines off.

2. there are drugs like metronidazole, carafate, etc...

3. special diets- bland. Just like the human RICE diet.
