Question
Dear Hilary,

I have a 14 year old toy cockapoo named Sassy.  For the last 6 or so years she's lived with my dad and I've finally moved where I can have animals so I took her back.  While she was with my dad she rarely went to the groomer or vet.  That having been said, when I took her to the groomer, her fur was 3 or 4 inches long.  When they shaved her, they revealed some growths, most noticibly what seems like a cyst the size of a small marble on her chin.  She has another one like this on her belly, but not so big.  I've also found maybe a dozen little nubs (which I've seen on other old dogs that I'm chalking up to her old age).  I'm not very worried, though, because none of this seems to be bothering her.  I have a vet appointment, but I'm just trying to get an idea of what to expect.

Thanks in advance,
Alicia

Answer
Hi Alicia!  Sorry it took me so long to get back to you.  I've been having some computer trouble the past few weeks.
How did Sassy's vet appointment go?  I hope everything went well and that the growths were just little old age warts and fatty cysts.  Please let me know how she is!
Hilary
