What kind of dog clippers?

Hi Ellen - I have a big shaggy Golden Retreiver and want to give him his summer trim.  I've been looking on eBay - there are lots of dog clippers - which one do you think is best ?

  Oster looks like a good brand -  what size blade would work best?

Your BEST bet is to take him to the groomer and pay 40 bucks for your dog to look great and not just a shaved dog.

Oster makes great clippers, but you still can cut your dog. So knowing how to use them properly minimizes it. Your groomer will also decide on the blade and guard to use to clip the hair properly.
