Ferrets swollen foot

My youngest ferret, Molly, has a swollen foot. I took her out to play today and I immediately realized her foot. It's red, puffy, and she doesn't walk much (except to eat and drink). Is this allergies, and if so, can I give her anything?

You know I am not a ferret expert but one swollen foot would more likely be a trauma not an allergy. Allergies tend to affect all the feet or at least the front ones.
Check her really closely for a string wrapped on her leg, a wound of some sort or a bite mark.
If it continues to swell for no apparent reason a trip to the vet is warranted.
