Syrain hamster??

Hi i wondered if u cold help me. i jus had my syrian hamster brandi treated for mites cos i was allergic to it. Now brandi was lethargic, crawlin round realli slow n sittin like a panda if u no what i mean, it also wouldnt eat or drink unless i hand fed and watered her. Brandi is 5 months old. Brandi is still like that even though we have treated her for mites, what else could it be? mi last hamster showed the same symptoms 5 months ago before it died a few days later.
can u help? any advice wud be appreciated.

What medication was used to treat the mites? I don't understand the connection between treating for mites and your allergies. If you are allergic to your hamster there is no medication to be given to the hamster that can change that. There are many reasons your little guy could be lethargic including a reaction to the drug, intestinal disease, respiratory disease. I would suggest a re-examination be done by your vet ASAP. Hamsters are very fragile so time is of the essence.
