Excessive licking, cleaning

Question
Hi,

I have a 13 year old maine coon that until last year, was raised with a tabby which died.  I am not sure if its fleas (I give her a treatment monthly) or dry skin, but she is constantly licking/cleaning herself.  Even at one point last year, I took her to a groomer, had her bathed, hair cut, etc and she still continued, could it be dry skin?  If so, how do you treat it?

Answer
Hi Dennis - Many times excessive licking is allergies.  It also can be a little Obsessive compulsive habit...
