Cat - loss of depth perception, or klutz?

Question
hi,
I have a five year old, female tortoise shell cat. Lately i have noticed when she goes to jump up on furniture she misses.  I only see this happen once or twice a week. I think she might have  a problem with depth perception, but as it doesn't happen all the time, i don''t know how to tell for sure. Sometimes its on high furniture, other times on small.  It never seems to be constant.  She doesn't seem to have any other issues.  She is very happy and playful (we have a 2 year old kitten as well that she plays with).  She doesn't ever seem to be in pain and eats and drinks fine.  I'm not sure if there is anything to worry about.  I definitely don't have the money for any extensive "tests" to find out if there is something wrong.  Does it seem like I am over re-acting?  Are there any cat diseases/conditions you know of that can effect depth perception? and if so what are other symptoms i should look for.  I hope i am just paranoid and my cat is just a klutz.

Answer
Maybe just a klutz. I think you are a very observant owner and she could be having some joint issues.

I do not have access to my regular notes that I put in these answers, so please read any of the other answers to learn about how your cats (who is going down hill fast)can live long (up to 30)  and healthy lives. No more vaccines. Feed a raw meat diet. Work with an integrative veterinarian - www.theAVH.org - homeopathy(some can help you by phone), www.AHVMA.org (general holistic - may find a local person), www.ivas.org & www.tcvm.com - acupuncture. You can learn (for free) how to do Reiki which could help whatever the cause of missing his jumps. (Again see my answers to others).
