Tired out dog!

Hi I have a rat terrier /boarder collie mix.  She is about a year and a half old and fixed/updated on all her shots. She usually is very active.. running around the house, throwing toys around or bringing them to me to throw for her..but the last to days she just lays around... She just seems to have no energy.. not coming to the door when we get home and ect.  Her hair is also shedding like crazy.. i realize that it probably is that time of year but this is crazy.. she gets brushed regualary(she has a pretty heavy coat double layered,you can practiacaly pull it out while you are petting her) her nose goes from warm one time i check it, to cold and wet the next time. She hasn't really ate anything today or yesterday.. and a little bit of water... what could be wrong? Should I bring her to the vet or wait it out?

High octane young dogs that become lethargic are sick. There is no getting around it. It could be something she ate- could be an intestinal issue or something else bothering her.

Bottom line is she needs to see the vet. I wouldn't call it an emergency but don't wait until it is one.
I hope she gets well soon and please let me know what is wrong.
