blood in poo

hi
i have a 3 year old cat that has never been fat but she has lost a little bit of weight and i also have found a little blood in her poo. what could this be?

Bright red blood in the stool is called 'frank blood.' It is usually from the rectal area right inside of the anus being irritated from a new food, or from eating something odd. Even eating dry food all the time can cause it.
This is usually benign, not uncommon in cats and goes away quickly.
If she continues to lose weight however, I would have her seen soon. Cats can get really thin really fast and that is not a good thing ever.
