giving my staffordshire bull terrier cod liver oil whilst pregnant

hello,
i used to give my little girl cod liver oil tablets,,1 every other day,,but i have been told not to give it to her whilst she is pregnant,,
could this harm her or the litter,,

I really don't know Nick, why this would affect the puppies. Did the vet tell you why not to give them?

It won't harm her but it might be too much Vitamin A for the litter.
You are better off putting her on Science Diet Large Breed Puppy Growth for her whole pregnancy and lactation than giving her any kind of a supplement.

That why she gets full, optimal nutrition without any excesses. She will be healthier and so will her puppies.
That is what we recommend over here.
