QuestionHi, Our American Eskimo is 11 years old. About 6 months ago, her hair went from always being smooth and silky and need a cut every month to very course-like and does not grow at all any longer. Would you have any idea why and suggestions to try to get her back to somewhat normal? Or, is this a normal part of the American Eskimo aging process? Thank you kindly.
AnswerI would have to say no, it's not. It's usually a matter of what you eat is what you are. So diet plays a huge part in this. Hair growth breakage, dullness, dryness, sparseness etc is almost always diet related.
Essential fatty acids are a large part of the picture as well but overall diet usually is the culprit.
What kind of food are you feeding her and for how long?
