puppy cold

hello, i am going to buy a puppy from a breeder and she just contacted me telling me that the puppy migh t have a cold. The puppy has clear discharge from her nose and when she breathes, there's a quiet rattling sound. The puppy was taken to the vet today and she is physically healthy other than her symptoms. She is put on antibiotics. I'm concerned whether she will get better or worse. I will have to drive 5 and half hours to pick her up so i debating whether i should go for it or not. Please Reply! Thank you!

Hi Vickie!Puppies do not get colds. It would be very wise to talk to the breeder and wait a week or two to get the dog. That will insure that the puppy is over the disease before you get the vet bills. Never buy a sick dog in the hopes it will get better.
