red raised lines on dogs chest

My one year old pitt has red raised irregular lines on his chest.  He is also very pink in color and feels really warm. Is this an emergency??

I have no way of knowing whether or not it's an emergency since I cannot see the dog. Take his temperature and if it's over 101.5 then he could very well be sick.

Has he been in a fight? Does he have wounds? What part of his "chest" are you talking about? Is he eating, playing etc. or just lying around?

Is he pink all over like he is flushed? Has he been out in the sun today for a long period of time? Is he panting?

As you can see, there are a lot of questions here. If you feel he is not well and it's an emergency, then call a ER vet and talk to them or take him in. Chances are it's nothing but better to be safe then sorry!!
